A 21st Century Sideline

As part of their Play Smart Play Safe campaign, NFL features sideline technology in their recent awareness video.

"Technology has helped us provide better care for the players," said Scott A. Rodeo, MD, sports medicine surgeon at HSS. "We have sideline video monitors that allow us instant review of plays. We have radios that we all wear that we communicate with each other. So we can talk to each other immediately about injuries that we're seeing on one end of the sideline while someone else might be at the other end."
