Dee Dee Wu, MD, a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery, is featured in NBCNews.com’s House Call segment explaining 'What is Psoriatic Arthritis?'.
"Twenty to thirty percent of patients with psoriasis will develop psoriatic arthritis in their lifetime," said Dr. Wu. "Psoriatic arthritis develops typically in patients between the ages of 30 to 50, but obviously can affect people outside this range."
Dr. Wu stressed the importance of seeing a specialist after being diagnosed as there are many very effective therapies available for a patient.
