Channel One News featured the story of Charlie Burt, a high school football player who was the 2016 USA Football Heart of a Giant Award winner, in a broadcast segment.

They reported that Burt was born without a left hand, but was able to overcome adversity and push his body to the limits. His friends, fellow athletes and coach nominated him for the Heart of a Giant Award.

According to the segment, former New York Giants player Rashad Jennings presented Burt with the Heart of a Giant Award, which is presented by HSS and the New York Giants in conjunction with USA Football.
