Keaney recommended clearing out anything that could be a tripping hazard in each room.

Additionally, she advised to arrange everyday kitchen essentials on countertops or in a cabinet within easy reach.

If the bedroom is upstairs, Keaney noted to consider temporarily relocating the bed to the main level of the home.
