Thanks to my partial knee replacement, I'm as active as ever!

Arthritis Health Monitor—March 1, 2017

In an article by Arthritis Health Monitor, HSS hip and knee surgeon Geoffrey H. Westrich, MD, was featured discussing partial knee replacement. The article also featured Dr. Westrich's patient's success story with having a knee replacement.

When asked who would be a good candidate for partial knee replacement, Dr. Westrich said "Partial knee replacement is an excellent option for patients who have arthritis that is localized in one compartment of the knee (medial, lateral, or patellofemoral). It's usually performed in younger, more active patients."

Since the partial knee replacement surgery, Dr. Westrich's patient has regained full range of motion in his right knee.

This article was featured in the Spring 2017 print edition.
