Everyday Health shares eight helpful devices that can help ease the pain for people with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
According to the article, custom orthotics are one of the many helpful assistive devices for people with ankylosing spondylitis. People with ankylosing spondylitis are also more likely to develop pain, known as plantar fasciitis, in the arches and heels. Theodore Fields, MD, FACP, a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery says, "Orthotics can be especially helpful in these cases".
