Andrew N. Swanson, MD, Humanitarian Lectureship
The lectureship is presented to an HSS Alumnus who has excelled in the areas of spine education, research, practice, and humanitarian efforts.

Andrew N. Swanson, MD, Traveling Fellowship
The fellowship is awarded to an HSS resident interested in the area of spine surgery and has demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate medical care. It consists of a two-week scholarship with the FOCOS orthopaedic clinic in Ghana.

Lance Peters, MD, Memorial Biomechanics Award
The Lance Peters, MD, Memorial Biomechanics Award recognizes an HSS-trained researcher (current or recent) for an outstanding published paper in biomechanics research.

The Georgette "Gigi" Viellion, RN, ONC, Endowed Orthopaedic Nursing Education Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 2008 to honor Gigi Viellion. It provides a financial scholarship on an annual basis for one nurse to attend the AAOS and/or AAON meeting or similar professional forum.

This fund was established to honor Dean Lorich’s life and legacy as a gifted surgeon and passionate educator.
