Louann Larsen, MSN, FNP, RN, is a family nurse practitioner in the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology at Hospital for Special Surgery for the past 14 years. As a registered nurse, Louann worked in a number of different concentrations including Maimonides Medical Center (New York) in the medical surgical department, New York Methodist Hospital in the psychiatry department, NYU Langone Medical Center in the craniofacial plastic surgery department, and Sadick Dermatology (New York) conducting FDA studies.
Louann’s field of academic and clinical interest includes rheumatologic conditions in the pediatric population with an emphasis on providing medical and psychosocial support to the chronically ill child and family.
Louann obtained her BSN from Messiah College in Grantham, PA, and her Master of Science, Nurse Practitioner in Family Health from Pace University in New York, NY.
Louann is passionate about creative writing centering on child stories and fairy tales. In her spare time Louann can be found rock climbing with her children, painting, and writing.
