Debra Jacobs, MSN, FNP-C, is the nurse practitioner for Frank Schwab, MD, chief of spine, at Hospital for Special Surgery. She previously served as a nurse practitioner at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases within the orthopedic spine department with Dr. Schwab. As a nurse, Debra worked at SeniorBridge New York as a geriatric home care nurse. Prior to that, she worked at Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, New York, in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Debra’s fields of academic and clinical interest include spinal deformity. Debra is a current member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, North American Spine Society, and Scoliosis Research Society.
Debra obtained both a BSN and MSN from Stony Brook University, NY. She obtained a BA in Spanish and Natural Sciences from Loyola College, MD. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) from the AANP.
