Krissa Cetner is a nurse practitioner for the ARJR Service at Hospital for Special Surgery. She has worked as an RA at Hospital for Special Surgery in the preoperative call center and at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital with the chief of ARJR. Krissa is involved in educating both the community and her colleagues about orthopedic issues. She has given talks on osteoarthritis representing HSS and on osteoporosis and osteoarthritis through the United States Bone and Joint Initiative.
Krissa is also very involved in the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and the Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board. She has served on the Education Committee for Activities and Products reviewing webinars, posters, and podium presentations. She is an ONCB ambassador, assisting fellow nurses and nurse practitioners in their quest for orthopedic certification. She is also on the ONCB Recertification Committee, auditing RNs who are re-certifying orthopaedic nurse certification. She was the Vice Chair Elect for the Recertification Committee in 2017 and advanced into the chair position in 2018.
Krissa completed both her BSN and MSN at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and is board certified through the ANCC.
Krissa is an avid runner, cyclist, swimmer, yogi, and all around fitness enthusiast. She has run two New York City marathons, over 35 half marathons, triathlons, and duathlons. She enjoys craft beers, wine, and spending time with loved ones.
