Joy Buechler, MSN, FNP-C, is an orthopedic nurse practitioner at Hospital for Special Surgery with Peter Sculco, MD. She previously served as a nurse practitioner at Stanford Hospital and Clinics (California) within the joint replacement department. As a nurse, Joy worked at the Yale Cancer Center (Connecticut) in the hematology and oncology research department.
Joy's fields of academic and clinical interest include primary and revision total knee and hip replacements.
Joy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. She obtained her certification in nursing and MSN from the Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, CT. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) from the AANP.
Joy enjoys being active and loves running with her dog in Central Park. In her spare time, Joy can be found at the beach, in a group fitness class, or relaxing with a cup of coffee and a good book.
