Ayesha Britton-James is a nurse practitioner in the ARJR Service at Hospital for Special Surgery. Ayesha came to HSS in June 2008 where she was student nurse extern on the fifth floor inpatient unit, which was then a mix of adult and pediatric patients. She then became an RN in the post-anesthesia care unit and Step Down Unit in January 2010. In February 2015 she transitioned to ambulatory surgery on the ninth floor where she worked as a PACU RN. She began working as a nurse practitioner in the ARJR Service in April 2016.
Ayesha has completed her BSN and MSN at Lehman College and also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New York University. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC).
During her spare time, Ayesha enjoys watching movies, enjoying nature, and spending time with her family.
