Aleksandr Benji, MSN, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the anticoagulation service within the Center for Advanced Practice Nursing at Hospital for Special Surgery. He is a graduate of Hunter College and Columbia University School of Nursing, specializing as a family nurse practitioner. Aleksandr has over 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in various hospitals in New York, including The Mount Sinai Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Hospital for Special Surgery.
Aleksandr has helped to create and implement the comprehensive preceptorship program for advanced practice students at HSS. He is also involved in hospital-based evaluation of current practices within the anticoagulation service.
Aleksandr serves as president of the co-op association where he resides. Aleksandr is board certified in family practice from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In addition, he holds advanced certification in PICC line insertion.
In his spare time, Aleksandr enjoys traveling, bicycling, and hiking.
