Ella Archibald is involved in providing a consistent and evidence-based approach to the treatment and prophylaxis of thromboembolic events at Hospital for Special Surgery. She is in the process of completing her doctorate at Pace University in New York. She is involved in research on the subject of shared decision making as a collaborative process that takes into account the best clinical evidence, expertise of healthcare providers, and patient values and preferences. Ella is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a 2016 Jonas V Nurse Leader Scholar and the 2014 Advanced Education Expansion Initiative.
Ella earned her MSN from Pace University and holds a degree as a medical doctor from Odessa Medical School, Ukraine. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (FNP-BC).
Ella enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in other cultures and ways of life. She is a great fan of the metropolitan museum of art, opera, and ballet. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and playing tennis.
