Ella Archibald is involved in providing a consistent and evidence-based approach to the treatment and prophylaxis of thromboembolic events at Hospital for Special Surgery. Ella is passionate about entrepreneurial leadership and creating innovative solutions. She is a member of HSS Leadership Academy, Recruitment & Retention Committee, and Peer Review Quality Assessment Performance Improvement Committee. She has several publications, and participated in research on the subject of shared decision making as a collaborative process that takes into account the best clinical evidence, expertise of healthcare providers, and patient values and preferences. Ella is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a 2017 Hewitt Scholar, 2016 Jonas V Nurse Leader Scholar, and the 2014 Advanced Education Expansion Initiative.
Ella earned her Doctorate from Pace University and holds a degree as a medical doctor from Odessa Medical School, Ukraine. She is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (FNP-BC).
Ella enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in other cultures and ways of life. In her spare time, she likes to play tennis.
