West Cleared to Return from Knee Injury

After six months of rehabilitation on his surgically repaired left knee, New Orleans Hornets forward David West has been fully cleared to return to basketball, his agent told Yahoo! Sports.

West was given complete clearance after an exam with Dr. David Altchek at Hospital for Special Surgery on Thursday.

"The doctor has cleared him 100 percent, and cleared him to push the knee as hard as he can right now," said West's agent, Lance Young. "David can be ready for the start of training camp."
