Warriors' Brandon Rush had successful surgery

CharlotteObserver.com—January 21, 2013

The Warriors announced swingman Brandon Rush had successful surgery on his left knee this past Wednesday. The procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Rush tore his ACL and MCL on Nov. 2 against Memphis. His rehab will start immediately, the team said, and he will miss the remainder of the season.

Rush previously said he would be ready for training camp. But since his surgery was delayed better than two months, that would make for a quick return.

Training camp is 10 months away. Generally, it takes about a year to recover from ACL surgery.
