Today, USA Basketball announced the signing of three new marketing partnerships.
As the team currently prepares in Las Vegas for the 2014 FIBA World Cup, which will take place in Spain, USA Basketball announced new partnerships with Samsung, Hospital for Special Surgery and Diageo. Furthermore, USA Basketball announced the return of Jeep, NIKE, Las Vegas, Wynn Las Vegas and BBVA as partners. Signing these marketing partners will not only fund the team’s preparation for and competition in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, but allow USA Basketball to continue its mission of growing the sport of basketball.
According to Aaron Ryan, senior vice president of marketing solutions and USA Basketball at the NBA, USA Basketball’s new partnerships came together within the last four-to-six months. Ryan notes that, “The key to these new partnerships is we found that there is a trend amongst brands in terms of looking for authentic partnerships where they are able to integrate their services and products.”
