Social Scene: Hospital for Special Surgery

Out On A Limb

Moffly Media—Fairfield County, Conn.—October 6, 2010

Nearly one thousand guests flooded the doors of New York’s Waldorf Astoria at the Hospital for Special Surgery’s twenty-seventh Annual Tribute Dinner. Matt Lauer of NBC News’ Today Show served as the evening’s toastmaster, while Broadway’s Sterling Masters amused attendees with her gleeful and energetic dance performance. Rheumatologist Dr. Stephen A. Paget of Hospital for Special Surgery added to his list of international recognitions as recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Anne M. Mulcahy, former chairman and CEO of Xerox, was also honored for her three decades of service at Xerox. Overall, the event raised more than two million-dollars certainly enough to keep the spring in the steps of many current and future patients.
