Chaos on Giants O-line: Will Beatty out 5-6 months

New York Post—May 20, 2015

New York Post's Paul Schwartz reports that New York Giants' Will Beatty suffered a torn left pectoral muscle on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, while lifting weights at the team facility. Traditionally, this type of injury requires five to six months recovery time, meaning that Beatty would miss at least half of the 2015 season.

"The fact it happened 24 hours ago, that the tissue itself was of excellent quality and that we got a very solid repair is in his favor," Dr. Frank Cordasco, who performed the surgery, told The Post. "What I told him and members of the organization is that I would be hopeful he would be back in early, mid-November. That still gives him a good solid end of the season to contribute to the organization."
