Fausto Liz undergoes operation at Hospital for Special Surgery

El Diá—Santo Domingo, D.R.—July 7, 2010   

The attorney Fausto Liz, who is the secretary of Cooperación Internacional del Partido Revolucionario Dominicano, will be operated on this Wednesday in the United States for a hip replacement.

The operation will be performed at 5:30 p.m. by Alejandro Gonzalez Della Valle, M.D., at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Liz, who is the deputy-elect to the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), will undergo a similar procedure on his left hip after the first surgery. Liz suffers from necrosis in the head of the femur, caused by chronic arthritis.

The politician is at the hospital, which is located at 535 E. 70th St., accompanied by close family.
