Mary Kirkland Center for Lupus Care - Monthly Conferences

Every fourth Friday of the month, the Lupus Center holds a special Lecture Series which explores lupus and one of its related disciplines. Every other month, special lupus nephritis cases are presented by our Rheumatology fellows. All of these conferences take place from 12pm - 1pm. Below are short descriptions of the presenters and topics.

We encourage all physicians from Hospital for Special Surgery to attend.

2012:

*Note: The Rheumatology/Nephrology Joint Lupus Nephritis Conferences consist of Lupus Nephritis case presentations followed by renal discussions and clinical comments by rheumatology and nephrology faculty. The goals of the conferences are to educate fellows, residents, and attendings on the topic, provide a sense of “real-life” outcomes of lupus nephritis at our institution, foster collaboration between rheumatology, nephrology, and renal pathology disciplines and ultimately help improve the care of our patients. The cases are selected by Kyriakos A. Kirou, MD, DSc, FACP.
