Georgette "Gigi" Viellion, RN, ONC, Orthopaedic Nursing Education Scholarship Award

The Orthopaedic Nursing Education Scholarship was established in honor of Georgette “Gigi” Viellion, RN, ONC, a former Nurse Manager of the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology units at HSS. Gigi dedicated her life to the education and advancement of Orthopaedic Nursing. The Alumni Association created a scholarship for HSS nurses, who, like Gigi, are dedicated to orthopaedic nursing and demonstrate a commitment to continuing education. The Alumni Association, in collaboration with the Nursing Department, will award this scholarship to a nurse for their skills, talent, and future potential.
This scholarship will support the travel and accommodation expenses for one RN to attend the Annual American Academy of Orthopaedic (AAOS) Annual Meeting each year. Award recipients will receive a one-time stipend of $1,500 (monetary amount may vary from year to year, based on endowment). The award will be presented every year at the HSS Alumni Association Annual Meeting.
