Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative condition characterized by arthritic deterioration of the discs and facet joint cartilage of the cervical spine. Spondylosis is nearly universal in elderly patients, but can affect young patients also. This condition may be asymptomatic or may cause the neck to feel stiff and painful.
