Giving to HSS

Building on Success: The Campaign for the Future of HSS Raises $116 Million

Building on Success: The Campaign for the Future of HSS has reached its successful conclusion. Through the generosity of thousands of friends and supporters, HSS has raised more than $116 million to enhance patient care, research, and education.

There have been many milestones throughout this Campaign. David H. Koch, HSS Trustee, made the largest single gift the Hospital has ever received: $25 million. Patient volume continues to accelerate, having grown by nearly 40% since 2005. With the support of an anonymous gift of $15 million, HSS has undertaken the construction of a new Children’s Pavilion that will provide care tailored to the needs of our pediatric patients and their families.

When the renovation and expansion is complete, HSS will have:

  • 35 operating rooms
  • 188 patient rooms
  • Welcoming and accessible entrance and lobby
  • Expanded pediatric rehabilitation center
  • Enhanced ambulatory care center
  • New special procedures and pain management centers
  • Expanded MRI, radiology, and imaging facilities
  • A robust clinical research program, including new patient registries that will permit each patient to take part in the exploration of best treatments

Our warmest thanks to those who have given so generously to make these changes possible. With your support, thousands of patients will have access to improved care at HSS and countless others worldwide will benefit from the new treatments developed here.
