Vivian Aponte, NP

Vivian Aponte, AGACNP-BC, CCRN, is an ARJR postoperative care nurse practitioner at HSS. She previously worked as a nurse within the Hospital for Special Surgery in the OSCU department. Vivian’s diverse background includes having worked for Northwell Health (New York) where she worked as a critical care nurse in the critical care and stroke unit. She also served in a diverse role as perioperative nurse and manager where she coordinated and ran an ambulatory surgery facility.

Vivian’s fields of academic and clinical interest include critical care, cardiac, and orthopedics. Vivian is a current member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.

Vivian obtained her BSN from SUNY Empire State College and MSN from Pace University. She is a board-certified Adult Acute Care (AGACNP-BC) and family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) from the ANCC and also holds a certified Critical-Care Certified Nurse from the AACN.

Amongst being an avid animal lover, Vivian enjoys traveling, reading, horseback riding, and cycling. Her favorite teams include the New York Giants and Yankees. In her spare time Vivian can be found traveling, but she prefers to walk and spend most of her time with her two beautiful labs, Cooper and Chloe.
