Edwin P. Su, MD
Dr. Edwin P. Su is particularly interested in using new technology to give young, active patients with hip and knee arthritis the best results possible, offering both nonsurgical and surgical treatments. Dr. Su is one of the leading hip resurfacing surgeons in the United States and has been performing the surgery since his involvment in the clinical trials of this bone-preserving technique. During his fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery, he trained in all the latest techniques of hip and knee replacement, minimally invasive surgery, joint reconstruction, and revision hip and knee replacement; he strives to match each patient’s treatment to their specific needs.
Dr. Su graduated from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors in Biology, and from Cornell University Medical College, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha society. During his residency training at HSS, Dr. Su received the Jean McDaniel Award in recognition of his commitment to patient care and teaching.
