Hospital for Special Surgery offers free programs that reflect our comprehensive approach to care for people with polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and inclusion body myositis. Through these programs, you can learn about your illness and learn to live more fully - both from health care professionals and from others who have the same illness.
The mission of the Myositis Support Group is to enhance coping, reduce isolation, and increase understanding of the inflammatory myopathies (polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and inclusion body myositis) by creating a community for mutual support and education. Family and friends are welcome. In addition to free monthly meetings, group members recieve a monthly newsletter.
