Correction of Bowlegs with TSF

Preop

Zaida was unhappy with her bowleg deformities. She was experiencing pain in her knees and was concerned about developing arthritis in the future.

Postop

Staged bilateral tibia and fibula osteotomies were done (separated by 6 weeks) and corrections were done gradually with the TSF.

Follow-Up

Total time in frames was 5 months. Her legs are straight and she has no knee pain. Scarring is minimal. Notice that the hip to ankle line runs through the center of the knee.
