What your bills for radiology services represent

Members of the Department of Radiology and Imaging are independent physicians specializing in the interpretation of radiological tests and diagnosis of disease. The bill from HSS Radiologists is for his/her personal professional consultative services.

The hospital bill is for technical charges to cover the costs of the equipment, supplies, the radiology technicians, and other departmental hospital personnel used in conjunction with the Radiological tests.

Billing Information

If you are covered under Medicare , Medical Assistance, a participating managed care carrier or commercial insurer and have provided complete financial information to the hospital at the time you received services, the Practice will submit a claim to your carrier on your behalf.
