Academic Visitors Program

 

The mission of the Academic Visitors Program is to provide domestic and international physicians, undergraduate/graduate school students, allied health care professionals  and medical school students the opportunity to visit HSS and faculty to increase one’s knowledge in a specific specialty. The HSS Academic Visitors Program is a non-accredited program. Academic Visitors will have the oppportunity to:

  • Network with top-tier professionals in the field of musculoskeletal health
  • Observe modern operating room technology and state-of-the-art patient care settings
  • Attend a variety of on-site professional education activities, including:

    • Grand Rounds/Journal Clubs
      • Anesthesiology • Hand •Metabolic Bone  
      • Pediatric Orthopedics • Perioperative Medicine
      • Physiatry • Radiology & Imaging • Rheumatology • Spine
    • Visiting Professor Lecture Series
    • Department Meetings
    • Access to Educational Materials
      Kim Barrett Memorial Medical Library
      Open to all Visitors from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday for the following uses:
      • Email • Research • Photocopy • Computer/workstation
      • CDs • DVDs •Periodicals • Journals

Visitors Program Fee Schedule

There is a non-refundable fee of $300.00 USD per visitor, per visit for all MDs and DOs.

There is a non-refundable fee of $1,000.00 USD per visitor, per visit for all MDs and DOs sponsored by industry/vendor.

**Please note, if you are a student in either medical school or any allied healthcare provider program you are exempt from this fee. Proof of student status is required.
